How to Flash a Phone Using a Laptop

Before You Begin

Ensure you have the following items ready: 
The device you intend to flash
Your computer
Compatible USB cable (the one that came with your phone)
Unlocked bootloader
Custom ROM
Android USB drivers
Flashing software




Before flashing your phone, make sure the bootloader is unlocked and the necessary Android USB drivers are installed on your computer to facilitate communication between the computer and your phone.
Installing USB DriversDownload the relevant Android USB drivers from the internet.

Flashing Your Phone Using the SP Flash Tool







The SP Flash tool is popular for its versatility but only works on certain phones. Samsung devices, for example, use Odin instead. Follow these steps to flash your phone using the SP Flash tool:Switch off your device and remove the battery if possible.
Download the official ROM from your phone manufacturer’s website and ensure it's compatible with your device.
Extract the ROM files on your computer.
Download and extract the SP Flash tool on your computer.
Open the file “flash_tool.exe.”
Click on the "Download" button.
Select the “Choose” button on the line that states “Scatter-loading File.”
Locate and choose the .txt file with the word scatter from your firmware.
Click the "Download" button.
Connect your phone via the USB cable and press the volume up/down key to ensure your computer recognizes it.
The flashing process will start. Once completed, disconnect your phone from the computer.
Reinsert the battery and power on the device to begin the setup process.
